Appointment

Firstly, your architect will arrange to meet you and establish broad requirements. This first consultation, usually of an hour or so, is often free of charge. Following discussion, an outline of your requirements will be set out, together with a list of the main architectural services to be provided. This draft brief will include a fee proposal to cover the anticipated work and a form of agreement between the architect and yourself, the client. Once you have reviewed this proposal, and have clarified any outstanding points, the document should be signed by yourself and your architect, and a copies taken for both parties.
