ECANET

ECANET is an e-mail – based newsgroup through which ECAN members exchange information about construction and design issues, in a day-to-day basis. Most ECAN members have access and therefore messages are immediately placed before at least 40 other colleagues and a rapid response can be assured.

Subjects covered recently have included:

Building contractors – availability
House certificates, completion certificates
Fee agreements
Building control procedures
Planning application procedures
Cases where relaxations can be sought
External timber cladding
CAD mutual help groups
SAP software
New work sources
Working from home

As soon as you join ECAN, you can apply to have your e-mail address appended to the newsgroup, and begin to participate in the dialogue.
